Newsletter input for January 2000
Our friends from Boston left after their newyears vacation. After the Fairmans were gone we have had a lot to do to get ready for the rest of the month. This week we have been getting ready for the Australia Day party which will happen next week and we've been quite busy doing housework and yardwork.
We have worked both inside and outside. We have dusted, vacuumed, and rearranged our bedroom. When we fixed our bedroom we bunked the beds. Dad helped and we got a new computer. We love it. It's lots of fun. We have pulled weeds outside and cut grass and neatened up the yard. We also cleaned up the slab and made a pretend castle. It hides Dad's junk and we now have more space.
Last Monday we went to a normal 4-H meeting. I liked it. We reviewed table settings and played.
On Thursday afternoon I went to a friends house to spend the night. We played outside with their horses and watched star trek. The next day our homeschool group went on a field trip to Channel 6 news. We got a tour of the news center and parts of a newsroom. We also got to see where they filmed the news, the editing room and other rooms were they get and sort information. I think the field trip was neat.
